Schemes And Drawings Of Scoops For Beach Detecting, Do It Yourself! :)
I think this post will be useful for all lovers of beach detecting. As you can see, these are schemes for making your own sand scoop for beach detecting! There are three different types, and I will introduce you to each one. So, let us start.
Type-1 scoop scheme
And this will be the final result:
Convenient and beautiful scoop!
Since the sizes of the scoop are not given (choose the size yourself – as that is more convenient), you’ll have to choose yourself. But, in order to calculate the sizes yourself, there is a simple advice: first print the scheme in A1 format (Whatman paper) the scheme will be 1: 1. Cut a visual prototype out of paper and there you go! You can increase the size, or you can reduce it, then cut it out.
Type-2 scoop scheme
There is no drawing of the wall and the roof of this scoop, and therefore the results can be different after making the main part.
An example of a finished version with this scheme:
This scoop with a flat roof is a bit longer.
Type-3 scoop
The engineering wisdom of detectorists can also result in such options. This one is made by utilizing an old pipe, with a wall at one end and drilled holes, it turns out to be the most simple and cheap version. This one has served a detectorist three years already without problems, according to its owner.
In general, with some basic skills and these schemes and sketches, you should have enough to make your own scoop! And the rest is a matter of technology.
Good luck!
