Steiner Binoculars Wildlife XP 10×26 – Satisfied! (Review, Photos+)
Hello friends! I thought back at the end of last season that it would be fun to get some binoculars to myself (to quietly watch my neighbors (joking)), to watch during detecting what is happening around me. Very often I get worried about my car, I often leave it somewhere in the bushes or a bit in the line, so that people don’t see it and start wondering: “Who is that and what does he want? What if some bandits or thieves have come to our village? “.
Something like this happened to me when I once left my car like that in some bushes, went off almost half a kilometer away and looked around, and saw that someone was running around my car, and photographed my number, probably just some alert villager.
In general, I decided to search the Internet for binoculars that are compact, convenient, with good clarified optics and at a more or less a normal price. And i found the perfect one, the Steiner Wildlife XP 10X26!
I waited a long time for the package to arrive from the German Amazon, and finally it arrived. The first thing that impressed me was the nice and beautiful box. Even though it is beautiful, it is also practical, it reliably protects the binoculars during transportation.
And so it turned out – the binoculars arrived unharmed.
The package is simple, as it should be: The Binoculars Steiner Wildlife XP 10X26, a Carrying bag, a Cleaning cloth and the Manual.
Naturally, I wanted to take it on the first trip and try it out. The car was hidden, as expected, and our team of treasure hunters scattered around the big field.
What did I like about the binoculars?
First – the weight. It is unrealistically light (347 g) and it easily fits in the breast pocket of my British park jacket (only 14 cm), which is very important, because in the British jacket there are two large breast pockets in which I store various useful things for detecting, for example, my license, a permission from the owner of the land, a can of pepper spray, just in case to scare off dogs or other living creatures, car keys, a mobile phone, and now binoculars.
What also surprised me was the quality of performance. When I visited the local hunting and fishing stores, as well as one optics store, they were full of ordinary Chinese products, which differ from each other only in design and small characteristics. In the rest, they are all the same, the quality of the picture will be very weak, the assembly is fragile and other little things that do not guarantee me an honourable transfer of the binoculars to my grandchildren for years to use))). But not with Steiner. This will last a long time. The case is rubberized and does not slide out of your hands, no trace of glue and everything works as it should.
Another useful feature – the binoculars are waterproof to 2 meters. So, you can swim with it.
The eye-cups fit comfortably on your head and do not interfere with the observation. Yes, just for the sake of it, I took some photos “through the binoculars”, they will not give you the whole picture of the quality, but there is no loss of light transmission, and the focus is very good and fast.
The result
My result is: quality, reliability and functionality. Perhaps these three words held me for the choice of this model. For my constant detecting trips, as well as various other trips, these binoculars came up the best, because besides detecting this year, I am thinking about going a small route of 300 km through the forest on foot, along one of our hiking trails and it will be very interesting An unforgettable experience, and I have to go through knowing that nothing of the equipment will fail me. As well as my health.
Good luck out detecting and follow the principle that “we are not the richest people to buy cheap things that will break after the third time.”
And if there are any questions on the operation and experience of using these binoculars, then let me know, write it in the comments and I will try to answer.
