Golden Mask 4W PRO S – What Is In The Kit? (Review, Photos+)

We recently wrote some news about the novelty that one Bulgarian store has released; a new version of the Golden Mask 4 PRO, an analog metal detector, which in the world of detectors was nicknamed the “Kalashnikov metal detector”, for its reliability, unpretentiousness, simplicity and search qualities. The “MDetectors” shop in Bulgaria released it, and you can buy such an analog only from him (such an exclusive product)! Link to the store here. Such an analog detector currently costs 337 euros. It is a little bit of money, but it has a pretty rich bundle!
The detector, like all the Golden Mask models, is delivered in a black and bright box with the company logo:

In a small white box inside there are the new wireless headphones WS-106 from Golden Mask – they have updated the headphones and released a new model that has become more comfortable to have on the head.
There’s also a charger for headphones in the box. Wireless technologies have long been used by Golden Mask!
There are also two rain covers in the kit – one on the detector block, and the other on the battery compartment located under the armrest.
The covers are comfortable, they fit quickly and easily.
Naturally, there is also the detector itself in a folded form with a bolt for the coils, with seals installed on the rod. The kit is supplied simultaneously with 10 AA batteries and an intelligent charger in the kit. The batteries are charged directly from the battery compartment, you do not need to remove them for charging. This solution is present in all metal detectors from the Golden Mask.
In this kit, there is also a special feature for this modification – the Detech SEF DD 12″ x 10″ coil (30×25 cm).
This coil is a good size for universal detecting and it weighs only 581 grams. The device weighs about a kilogram (without a coil). The total weight is 1.4-1.5 kg. That’s not much!
Why choose an analog metal detector? Especially such a simple detector? Everything is simple – you have to somehow get yourself to dig more signals, but while you are looking at VDI in different promising places, you are looking for a more or less normal signal. When out in the fields, you will have to dig quite a lot of signals, but this is hard to do in an “empty” place. An analog metal detector allows you to do this.
It also seems very interesting for detecting in the forest, where there are few signals and there is no need to bother with VDI values. Also, it will be necessary to check this metal detectors functionality on the beach – through air tests it gave an excellent depth to a small gold ring, and this find is problematic for most digital metal detectors. Interesting!
